The Fix Up: Truman Street

Truman Street: Before & After
We took on a 1980’s fixer upper in Port Orchard, WA. Our goal was not only to revive the home, but to completely redesign it and make better than it was the first day it was built.

img_7862The kitchen is the heart of the home, so it’s important to use it as the foundation for establishing the overall theme of the project. For this fixer upper we opted to go with a Modern Farmhouse theme; lots of striking black & white detail with accents of natural wood texture. We selected white shaker cabinets with 5 inch black pulls, white subway tile, grey quartz countertops, wide planked flooring, and beautiful reclaimed wood detail on the back of the island.

Truman Street
After months of work preparing the home for potential buyers, it just makes sense to put our best foot forward and stage the space. This is one of my favorite steps in the process of flipping. It’s an opportunity to bring the whole look together and give people a glimpse of  “what life would be like if they lived here”.
